Click It or Ticket Now in Effect
Officers will be taking a Zero Tolerance approach when it comes to seat belt use
Monday, March 1, 2010
The Department of Public Safety stepping up enforcement of seat belt laws in Arizona. They’ve launched their Click it or Ticket campaign, which runs through Sunday, March 7.
It’s funded by the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety, thanks to a $600,000 grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In addition to seat belt use violations officers will also be targeting child-restraint violations.
Two more enforcement periods are planned this year - from May 24-June 6, and from Sept. 25-Oct. 1.
